LRC/Library Policies

A. General Guidelines

The Learning Resource Center/Library at TLBC has been established to bring to you the best in educational and spiritual values thereby assuring that your time will be well spent with its use. Materials used from the library are considered to be for your personal service and are not to be loaned without permission from the librarian.

B. Specific Policies

  1. All TLBC Learning Resource Center/Library patrons are required to know when borrowed items on their account are due, and are responsible to return them on or before the due date.
  2. The LRC/Library will endeavor to send overdue notices at the beginning of each week; however, the patron is responsible to return borrowed items, whether or not they have received a notice.
  3. Unreturned items are considered lost after they have accrued am overdue fine of $5.00. In addition to the $5.00 fine, the cost of the overdue item as well as a $15.00 processing fee (per unreturned item) is placed on the patron's account.
  4. Books that are considered damaged beyond reasonable use, will require replacement of the item (on approval of library staff), or replacement cost of the item, plus a $15.00 processing fee per item.
  5. Failure to comply with the above-mentioned policies (for overdue and/or damaged items) will constitute reason for permanent loss of library privileges and a notice of such action will be placed in the student’s file.
