LRC/Library Circulation
Checkout
A total of 10 items may be checked out at any given time.
Non-fiction books and fiction books may be checked out for a period
of two weeks; with a limit of three non-fiction books per subject.
One media item (CD, DVD, or VHS) may be checked out at a time,
for a total of three days. There are no renewals for media materials.
Renewals
Books may be renewed once for two weeks (unless there is a hold placed on
the item for another patron.) If a book has been checked out and renewed once,
the patron must wait a period of 48 hours or 2 days before checking
out the same book again.
Holds
Holds may be placed on books that are currently
checked out to another person. If there is a hold placed on a book, it cannot
be renewed. The person placing the hold will receive a call, or written notice,
when the item has been returned.
Overdue fines
An additional $1.00 per day fee will be assessed for each book that has been
placed on hold (and not returned by the due date) if the current patron has
been notified of the hold status on the book. Every currently enrolled student,
staff and faculty member has library privileges. A current TLBC identification
card is required for checkout of materials. A student library membership runs
from the beginning of each quarter until the last day before finals. Fines must
be paid, and all overdue library items returned by that time.
