FINANCIAL AID | Verification
The U.S. Department of Education requires institutions to verify those students who are selected for verification. TLBC has chosen to verify all students whether they were selected for verification by the U.S. Department of Education or not. This process confirms all information submitted on the FAFSA for accuracy and completeness. The Financial Aid Office will request from the student the forms needed to satisfy this process. Some forms we request are available online. If the forms requested to complete verification are not provided by the student, then financial aid cannot be provided to the student.
All students at Trinity Life Bible College who receive financial aid will have to supply documents for verification. The documents are as follows:
- The previous year's tax returns signed. For Example: for the 2008-09 FAFSA 2007 tax returns are required. A dependant student must submit a copy of their parent's tax returns as well.
- A TLBC verification Worksheet to be completed. All sections may be completed, even though it may not apply (enter 0's or NA).
- A student who is not required to complete tax return / Non-filer must complete section C or the verification worksheet.
- Students (and their parents) who have items found on Worksheet A and B of the FAFSA must complete section D of the verification worksheet.
- Each student who desires their federal funds to cover books and supplies much complete the Student/Parent Authorization Form.
- Additional documents may be required. Please download the pdf forms from the Financial Aid Links and Forms page. Note: you must have Adobe PDF Reader to view the forms.
